Veneer Section

Log Selection
Is the best selection process for logs from selected woods according to the demand for the type of plywood to be produced. Please note that all wood raw materials used by PT Manunggal lndowood Investindo have obtained the SvLk label that is guaranteed legality due to the official certificate from the Indonesian Legal Wood.

Rotary
Is a process of cutting logs into sheets, where the wood is soaked for +/- 2 hours then peeled to become sheets of wood or commonly called Veneer. In this process, a special standard is needed in setting the machine which is adjusted to the desired veneer thickness requirements. Then the resulting veneer will be arranged as neatly as possible to a height of /- 1 meter.

Hot Press Veneer
Veneer is the first stage of the veneer drying process which serves to reduce the moisture content in accordance with the requirements. The dried veneer is also pressed, so that the veneer that comes out will not be wavy which is usually called “one piece core”. This drying system uses heat energy generated from a boiler as a result of burning unused waste left over from production. MII has 3 Hot Press machines at the beginning and will add more soon, so that the production process can run more effectively and efficiently.

Core Builder
Is the veneer joining process after the Hot Press. Veneers will be joined to be large sheets by sticking one to another.

Scraft
The scraft machine is to sharpen the edges of the veneers so that when the veneers are joined together, they have precision thickness.

Scraft Veneer Composer
Is an advance process that has glue which is then joined and heated with a machine so that the veneer of each piece joins properly according to the required size.

Repair
Is a process of repairing a hollow veneer. This is very common and can only be done by human hands to get maximum results. This is completed by patching holes with special tape on each veneer sheet.
